Sorry for the delay in the episode, I explain it all at the end of this episode. Hope you enjoy. This wasn’t the first time that Sunni had walked into Mugsy’s. The other day, after spending a few hours watching the North Side Boyz frequent the establishment she had decided to stop in and have a look around for herself. |

The vibrating phone in Raven’s pocket woke her from her slumber. Her body ached as she attempted to sit up in the chair in which she had slumped over in hours ago. Across the room Maxine was in a chair next to her father’s bed. The last thing Raven remembered before sleep took her was her was talking with Dylan. He had left her at some point last night and now Maxine was asleep next to her father with her head laying upon the bed as her hand was clasped with his while she slept. |

Mugsy’s was no different than any other bar on the west side of Landsford. Like most places on this side of town it had been hurting for business but unlike the others this bar had recently gained a steady stream of regular customers. The pounding on the door woke Psycho from the sleep that had just taken him moments before. The clock read 4:13 causing him to curse silently as he grabbed the Colt 45 off the nightstand while he pulled on a pair of shorts. Click to continue » |

It was nearing 10 before Vince and Doc crossed the bridge heading into Landsford. Traffic was light at this time even through the construction zones. The pair took the third exit then proceeded down Morrow Street for almost a mile before pulling into the parking lot of Chucky’s Dog House where Rico’s 370Z stood out in the nearly empty lot. Kickstands on the Harley’s Dropped next to the unassuming Buick Regal with a Soul Stealers sticker on it which only meant what you saw on the outside wasn’t any indication of what was below the hood. |

Sorry about the delay, had some serious issues getting this one recorded. Sure it is late but here it is, hope you enjoy. The neighborhood outside of the Salone residence was just coming to life in the morning light. Neighbors prepared to go to their jobs while the kids raced to meet the school bus. It was just another quite morning in Promise for most of the residents though the thoughts running through Vince’s head were anything but quite. For most of the night he had tossed and turned in the bed as thoughts of Saul flooded over him. Long before sunrise he had succumbed to realization that sleep was not for him that night and went to the garage to work on the 69 Shovelhead he had been restoring. As the sun made its way into the sky Vince made his way inside to start breakfast. The smell of bacon floated through the air of the house eventually making its way to the bedroom near the back of the ranch. |

New episode coming in two weeks. Special thanks go out to Jennifer Sights for her contribution to this weeks episode. Receiving a call from Rico saying that his boys had found the white van responsible for the hit and run wasn’t much of a surprise. Vince held more faith in them finding it first than the local PD. |

Episode 2 has been posted. Hope you enjoy and feel free to head on over to the Facebook group for additional discussion. As I promised here is the additional content for this episode that was not recorded. Why you ask? Well it is a flashback. Think of it as a dvd extra that didn’t make it into the movie. I am planning on doing a few more of these as the story progresses. Thanks to this here Adam for making sure my English was right.
Statesville, a few months earlier, The morning air was crisp as the courtyard slowly filled with inmates looking to escape the confines of their cells for some outside time in the fresh air. One of the inmates, broad shouldered with heavily tattooed arms came out into the courtyard and quickly looked around before spotting the man with the patch over his eye. Click to continue » |

Promise, Illinois doesn’t actually have much promise, despite the ad campaigns in the 80s when the town counsel tried to breathe new life into the waterfront by touting it as the perfect place to spend your vacations. By the late 90s, the town had become generations of the same families that had started it in the 60s. Some of the more prominent folks in town still tried to push for an Indian Casino,Resort and Spa joint, but the old timers wouldn’t hear of it. Some of the modern day amenities had made their way into town, there were a couple of fancy coffee shops, two of those big box stores, and a chain restaurant or two. A couple of years ago, someone had tried to open a French Bistro off the town square. It became a business center before the year was out. Of course Promise had it’s share of crime, from the bored suburban adolescents to the meth heads that made their way into town looking for a cheap place to live. There were two or three small gangs. Stupid kids who wanted to belong to something, and they never much got out of hand, thanks to Colt Donovan. His MC, Devils Sinners have been around so long they were just as much a part of the town’s history as its founding fathers. Colt’s junkyard and metal recycling business, Metal City, had helped increase the cities revenue while giving his club a place to gather far from prying eyes. Tonight, the Sinners were welcoming one of their own home. Almost two years in prison, and Saul Hogan was ready to take back the seat at the table as the clubs Vice President. He hadn’t been back in the clubhouse for more than two hours when he got into it with Doc. The boys knew better than to let that go on for very long, the feud between the two had festered in the months since Saul had been gone and the two had some beatings that each wanted to administer. They let them brawl it out, then separated them. |
